National Rural Health Mission has been launched in nationwide on 12th April, 2005. The journey of National Rural Health Mission and National Health Mission in U.T Chandigarh has witnessed the arrival of many milestones, which have been painted by our enthusiasm and strengthened by the implementation of the policies envisaged. We have attempted many innovative ventures like Hub and Spoke model for stregthening Lab Services in HWCs, Ann Se Amrit, AMRIT Campagin, Poshan on Wheels etc which have shapen as stepping stones for us into the arena of achievements with a difference.
As Mission Director, I am confident that the commitment of the grass root level workers is our strength and shall go long way in launching our achievements on the horizon of success. Our efforts have been recognized by Chandigarh being awarded as front runner amongst the UT’s as per the report of State Health Index. I hope, we the team of Chandigarh NHM shall explore the ventures not attempted so far and achieve results which seemed Unachievable til
